Chief Green was appointed Fire Chief September 6, 2007. He grew up at the Green Pond Fire Department as his father served as Fire Chief before him. He became a junior firefighter at the age of 12 and served as a firefighter, lieutenant, captain, and fire chief for a previous period.

Chief Green has returned after a 7 year hiatus bringing his 12 years of professional firefighter experience and 10 years of volunteer firefighting experience. The chief holds an AAS in Fire Service Management, BS in Public Safety Administration and is completing a MS in Emergency Management in addition to attending the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy as well as multiple certifications.
