Deputy Chief Ben Rawls began the Fire Service in 1993 at age 18 as a Firefighter in Mexia Alabama. In 2000 he began his career firefighter service with Monroeville Fire and Rescue. In June of 2000 Ben graduated with honors from the Alabama Fire College. In October of 2002 Ben started his current job with Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue and has since received numerous certifications including EMT paramedic and is currently a Battalion 1 floating Lieutenant, Haz-Mat Team member, and bagpiper with Tuscaloosa Firefighters Emerald Society. Ben came to Green Pond Fire Department in 2007 and currently fills many roles including EMS officer, EMS Logistics, and QC officer.

Yarbrough has recently returned to the Green Pond
Fire Department after a brief hiatus. He has 7 years experience
in firefighting with 6 of those years spent at Green Pond. Jeb
holds multiple certifications from the Alabama Fire College. He
is the Captain assigned to Station 3.
